Kitty BITE Back Series Episode 21: Kidnapping is a Felony Offense, liMes... ur members are criminals

Hey Jellies! We are soooooooooo close to finishing up the first category of the BITE Model: Behavior Control. This week we are discussing component 19, kidnapping. Why would someone kidnap another person? Are these minors? Adults? Who is behind the kidnapping? Are they being encouraged? These are all questions that we should be asking!

STORY TIME!

• When I was in the cult, I heard many sermons where the cult leader would encourage parents who were "unequally yolked" (1 parent in the cult and one out) and had split custody of their children, to kidnap their children so they could be "raised in the church". He would spout off about how the children were being abused by not being raised in the church and would encourage parents to not return their children to the other custodial parent. I remember this happening to one family in the church. There was an aunt, we'll call her G. G didn't have custody of her 3 nieces; but, she would always bring them to church. When the mom didn't want the kids to come to services anymore, G would kidnap them from their father's house and bring them to church. G would keep the kids until the mother would have them again. One time the mother came to church and made a scene trying to get her children back. RIGHTFULLY SO! It didn't end well for that mother or her kids. They ended up getting sucked into the cult; and, to my knowledge, are still members. I see one of the daughters working at a local grocery store when I'm in town and she still has her cult uniform on.

If you or anyone you know is kidnapping anyone, please go straight to the police and report it. Don't pass Go. Don't collect $200. Go straight to the police and report it. Lives at literally at stake.
