I feel like we have talked about rape in a few episodes now; however, this episode is going to recap that information and make it one cohesive thing. The 22nd component of Behavior Control as described by SAH in the BITE Model is: rape. So we all know what rape is, right? Just for those of you who may see the lines as fuzzy or don't have a real grasp on it, let's give the legal definition. What would hold up in a court of law? The United States Department of Justice updated the legal definition of rape on January 6th 2012, to, "The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim." Pretty cut and god damn dry, if you ask me. So was this happening to members? Could members rape other members? Could members rape non-members? Lots of logistical components on this per the cult leader's teachings.

STORY TIME!

• According to the cult leader's teachings, women who are in the cult cannot be raped because they "should always be submissive and willing to your husband's sexual desires". It's honestly disgusting. So even if these women didn't want to have sex with thier husband that night because they were tired, it had been instilled in them that they had to be a submissive and willing participant for their husband at all times. Then we get into statutory rape- rape of someone who is (in KY) under the age of 16. When I had first started going to the cult's services, I made friends with a girl, let's call her C, and she was still a teenager. She had gotten married at 14 to her husband who was over 18. It was disgusting hearing her talk about how her mom took her lingerie shopping (at 14) to find lingerie that would make her older husband find her petite body attractive and womanly. She showed me a white silk teddy with a white silk robe. Nothing fancy, nothing flashy. Just "something to make her body more womanly." She had gotten pregnant before she even turned 16. So if these LITERAL CHILDREN aren't able to consent to having sex, they sure can't consent to getting pregnant! And all of this is being reinforced by the cult leader and his teachings.

Until consent is acknowledged by each and every individual, may all who abuse those boundaries have their reproductive and sexual organs dissolve into grains of sand.
