We are SOOOOOO close to finishing up Behavior Control under the BITE Model as described by SAH. If you would like to see where we are on the list of Behavior Controls you can check out the website, https://freedomofmind.com/cult-mind-control/bite-model/.

This week we are going to be covering component 24 of 25, imprisonment. Have you ever been involved with someone or a group of people where a leader was using imprisonment as a testimony to them "finding god" and using that story to influence others to "find god"? Has anyone ever told you outlandish stories about their time in prison and use that as a vehicle to persuade you to also be a believer?

STORY TIME!

When I was in the cult, the leader would give his testimony about how he "came to god" at least once a week. His testimony was that when he lived in downtown Cincinnati, he was in a gang. He was being initiated and he had to kill (shoot) someone point blank. He did. He says he was arrested after fleeing and that he was held in a cell while the trail took place. He says that during a recess of the trial he was in a holding cell and Jesus walked through the hall and into is cell. He says that Jesus took him by the hand and walked him through the wall of the building out above the traffic (in midair) and told him that everything the light touches belongs to him and that he is going to take care of everything so that he can be free to preach his testimony and bring people to him. He said Jesus then sent him back through the wall and told him to go lay down and take a nap. So he did. According to the cult leader, when the recess was over, they ended up releasing him (immediately) because the evidence they had against him had gone missing. Now I have a few bones to pick with this story (because that's what I believe it is... a story).

  1. "Everything the light touches is yours" is a line from The Lion King 😂

  2. Someone wouldn't be released in the middle of being held for a trial and just sent out midday from a trial where evidence went missing.

  3. I have paid for 3 different services to investigate if his story has any documented evidence (like court records) and there is NOTHING.... not even an arrest record 🤨

While I was in the cult there was a woman who was arrested and found guilty of malpractice. Let's call her S. S had been stealing prescription pads and writing (selling) prescriptions for narcotics for people out of her home. When she was eventually found guilty, the cult leader told everyone (many many many times) that this was god's will so that she could reach people in prison. He also said that because this was god's plan, it was okay that S's jumpsuit was pants (something that S was not allowed to wear, as a woman). Years later when S was released, she used being in prison as a testimony for how god used her to bring others to the cult. I also have a couple of bones to pick with this...

  1. Why is it that she is seen as a tool for god to use in prison (even to the point of going against cult standards)? I honestly think (but have no evidence saying so) that maybe the cult leader was getting narcotic prescriptions from her or that he was getting a percent of the money she was making from it. Because why would he see her as a tool for god after she had done something illegal (remember- we have to follow the law of the land)?

  2. Other people had been in prison before or were in prison while I was in the cult and they were seen as sinners and someone who needed redemption- even for similar actions.

There was a man that was in the cult when I was I was in it, let's call him B. B had been in prison before for drugs; but, while I was in the cult he was arrested again and went back to prison for drugs. He was using pills (that I know of). The cult leader condemned him and "made an example of him" by using his time in prison against him during services and would preach about B being in prison. I'll say it again...

  1. Other people had been in prison before or were in prison while I was in the cult and they were seen as tools for god's plan and someone who needed praised and forgivness- even for similar actions.

If you or someone you know is using imprisonment as a tool to gain followers and keep people in line in a group, please get far away from them. They are bad news.

Next week is our last episode of Behavior Control under the BITE model as described by SAH. We will be heading down the rabbit hole of Information Control next!

Until all the cell doors are swung open for those who are innocent and the cell door is slammed shut for liMes, I hope you feel as though you have shackles around our wrists and ankles.

My dad was in prison twice and my brother once. Prisoners are often seen as ripe pickings for religious leaders. Some programs are good, provide education, community, etc. but ultimately those programs do not mean that a person will return to the wider society better than when they went in, just more zealous for god/s.
